In 1998, Avery, Kanost, and Scott collaborated once again to bring us the tale of the Three: Benn the Rogue, Gordo the Knobbit Warrior, and Johnz, the Grey Wizard of Gon. Including such memorable characters as King Korbet, Jon the Clown, and the evil Dark Lord Mung, The Lord of the String is more than a simple parody of Tolkien. Though it began as a simple mockery of the greatest work of fantasy in the twentieth century, our story quickly took on a life of its own.
Like its cousin Lame Trek, Lord of the String (which we fondly refer to as "LOTS") is an ongoing work that remains as yet unfinished. It is also to date our longest work of cooperative fiction, and has spawned a respectable collection of collateral material or "special features," if you will.
