The Lord of the String
The String

A Poem

(Note, it is "String" and not "Strings", and this poem explains why.)

(Actually, it doesn't explain much of anything.)

(Sorry.)

By The Cabby Poet

Three Strings for Android Minotaurs who all have cried,
Nine for the Knobbit kings who have all died,
Seven for the Clown-lords in their great big tents,
One String for the Dark Lord that wears evil pants.

In the Southeast Realms where the Mung pools lie,
It makes the Dark Lord mad cause they don't always tell the truth.
Not that he's much better he also won't tell the truth,
In the Southeast Realms where the Mung pools lie.

But the Three the Seven and the Nine are all gone,
Leaving only the one String left in Gon.
One String left and all hopes hang upon it.
Without it Gonís future is a slimy mung pit.

(Literally, 'cause Lord Mung would put Gon in a pit of mung if he had his way)
(And trust me, you don't want that)
(It would stink)
(Literally, have you ever smelled Mung?)

Anyway, in the Darker Tower the String of Power does lie,
One String to rue them all, one string to tie them,
Of course, they don't exist no more, so it won't be able to tie them,
In the Southeast realms where the String of Power does lie.

(And in this case, not "lie" as in telling a falsehood, but "lie" as in that is where it rests.)
