So reads the accurate and informative site description of the RinkWorks home page. Owned and operated by Mr. Sam Stoddard, RinkWorks has grown from a small film review web site that debuted on the University of New Hampshire web site in September 1996 to a massive collection of over fifty creative features, many of which allow for interactive participation.

I personally discovered RinkWorks through one of its most notorious features, The Dialectizer, back in 1998. My good friend and co-author of most of the cooperative fiction here at Grishny's Tower, Gordon Scott introduced me to the site via an e-mailed link. I had some fun dialectizing some web sites, and then moved on without realizing that there was more. A few months later, Gordon sent me yet another link to RinkWorks, this time to The Duel of the Ages, which intrigued both of us due to our own cooperative fiction efforts. After reading Duel, I began to explore the rest of the site and discovered all the other nifty little features it boasts like Adventure Games Live and Movie-A-Minute.

But that was not all! I had yet to experience the most enjoyable part of RinkWorks: the active reader community there. Although the RinkWorks Message Forum was thriving by the time I discovered the site, I never thought to give it a closer look. It wasn't until shortly after RinkChat debuted and a collection of humorous archived chat logs were published that I was drawn into the community of RinkWorks. Since then, I have met many good, intelligent, thoughtful people there, becoming friends with many of them, including Sam. And I am honored to have been able to contribute to the site in many ways.

RinkWorks is a rare find: a web site that offers a little something for everyone. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
